Soha Ali Khan, the Bollywood actress, was taken in for questioning about a gun that she may have purchased illegally.
Ali Khan was issued the gun license in November 1996 when she was 18. However, the minimum age for obtaining a permit is 21.
"The reports that have been in the media for the past couple of days have been slightly unfair. They have been slightly selective and in many cases inaccurate as well," Soha, sister of Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan, said.
Indian actress Soha Ali Khan is being questioned by authorities about a gun, registered in her name, which her father used to kill an endangered black buck.
